but I have been too busy and/or tired to post them.
However, I have been thinking lately of that lovely backhanded compliment allegedly* paid our nation by the great Otto von Bismarck — “There is a special providence for drunkards, fools, and the United States of America.”
I suspect that’s the only way to truly explain the election of 2016. God took pity on us…but not too much pity, or we might start expecting it all the time.
