High atop the parapet of the Kennedy Center…
That’s the Air Force Memorial way off behind us, on the other side of the Potomac River. The Roosevelt Bridge is directly behind us with the Memorial Bridge farther back. You can’t see the 14th Street Bridge from where we were. Technically there is line of sight, but the trees and the Memorial Bridge get in the way. Oh, also, duh, I-395 is in the way, too.
The ribbon on my pocket is a 33rd Degree Candidate ribbon. I was told last week that some people mistake it for a Purple Heart ribbon. I don’t know why. They are completely different.
