But this is straight talk

Sarah Palin today in Cedar Rapids:

Our opponents, they have some strange ideas about raising taxes. (Male voice in audience: “Yeah they do.”) To them, raising taxes — and Joe Biden said it again today — raising taxes is about patriotism! (Boos from crowd)
To the rest of America, that’s not patriotism. Raising taxes is about killing jobs, and hurting small businesses, (cheers) and making things worse! (Cheers) This isn’t about anyone’s patriotism, it’s about Barack Obama’s poor judgement. (Cheers and applause)

Video here, h/t Yuval Levin, who observed: “Joe Biden’s comment about raising taxes and patriotism this morning opened the door nice and wide for the McCain campaign, and here is Sarah Palin walking right through.”
Heh.
FRIDAY: Double heh:

Thanks, Jonah!

  1. The party of change, represented by a guy who has been in the Senate since the Nixon Administration, who says that if you don’t want to give the government more of the money you earn you are unpatriotic.
Surely even the Dems think The Obama could have done a little better with that particular choice.
With that in mind, what is He going to do to the Supreme Court?
Vote early and often, my fellow Republicans.
