It was calling my name. “Please buy me. You know you want me.”

I think I just found me a nice little carry gun. And I have now drunk of the 9mm Kool-Aid.
Looking at the barrel and the mechanism, I’d be surprised if this thing has had a thousand rounds through it, and I’d be only a little more surprised if it was sub-500 in that department. It’s very clean on the inside. Nice action, although (and I don’t really know what I was expecting, but my only real pistol experience is with the 1911) the decocking lever kind of surprised me.
Anyway I’m looking forward to shooting it. Maybe next week.

Thanks for the post. As a non gun owner in today’s society, I keep thinking I should get a concealed carry permit and a gun. I read enough blogs to know that lots of people love the 1911 over the various 9mm guns.
However, thanks for reminding me that there is one point where this little gun has more stopping power than a 1911. That is when the 1911 is at home because it’s too heavy and bulky.
Dave, you should absolutely get armed and get your carry permit. I got mine about seven months ago and couldn’t be happier. One tip, you can absolutely open carry in this state if you don’t want to bother with all the hassle of concealing.
Nathan, I think this is the best debunking of the “crops rotting in the field” bilge…

And welcome to the 9mm club! It’s where the cool kidz hang out.
Next time, take me with when you go gun shopping. 🙂
As I understand it, we were both there at the same time, but never ran into each other 🙂
(Although they are mechanically interesting. It’s lawsuit-close to the Walther P88 in a lot of ways.)
