Bottom line, you don’t solve these things by controlling guns. You solve them by controlling the mentally ill nutbags who decide it’s a great day to go shoot up a classroom full of kids. And you control them by one of two methods: Either identifying them before they go ballistic, or by going ballistic on them when you see them coming.
An armed and properly-trained teacher would have gone a long way toward saving the day.
