Because the one we bought for Sally this afternoon said “Microsoft Vista and XP SP2”, but we didn’t check that because…well, fuck, it was USB and Microsoft and the salesman said that they’d had good luck with them.  And for $35 it was a reasonable deal.

Problem was, the CD that came with it refused to install under Windows 7 x64.  So I had to search for the drivers, and frankly, it was not easy to find that link.

I’m not going to go off on the salesman for something I should have had the sense to check before we bought the product.  I am a little irked that an office products store would have something on its shelves that purported to work with Windows that in fact didn’t work out of the box with the version of Windows that’s been current for at least three years.
