Umm.

“Man held after gun is discovered”.
Seems a gentleman from down South a ways was arrested at the aerodrome with a heater in his handbag. Fairly non-astute, that, but what’s really dumb is the last line of the story:

Schooler admitted to airport officer Thaddeus Thomas that the bag and handgun were his and that he didn’t know the gun was inside, according to the report. The report said Schooler admitted he did not have a license for the gun.

Er, no, I’m thinking he probably didn’t…but what he was arrested for was “undisclosed transportation of a dangerous device and carrying a handgun without a license” — the latter meaning, not having what is known as a License to Carry Handgun.
Handguns aren’t licensed in the State of Indiana. Those who carry them are supposed to be. Apparently the Gannett Star isn’t interested in the difference.
