Six weeks…

…to get my munificient* tax refund from the state.
Methinks they are delaying refunds this year. I don’t recall it taking this long in the past. Nope, this one came a month and a day after the latest one I’ve gotten for the past six or seven years…although sometimes I file earlier. Last year I got it in February, but I filed in January 🙂

* $158, if you consider that munificent. I try to run things the other way — either I owe them nothing or owe them a little, or they owe me a little; unlike some folks who consider a tax refund a windfall, I don’t see any reason for the state to make interest on my withholding.
