Was just curious

Did a count. That 1100th post (2 posts down) was made on the 701st day of this blog’s existence. So that means I’ve posted at least once a day since inception, or more correctly, 1.5691868758915834522111269614836 posts per day.
Some days more; some days none. But at least the average isn’t sub-zero. (The content, on the other hand, sometimes is just plain sub.)
Thanks to those who have read from the beginning. I guess my depression a couple of weeks ago was temporary. If I could blog about the things that are going on in my life right now without being assured that I’d suffer painfully for it, you can bet I would. Maybe after 4PM on May 19 I’ll feel more willing and able to do that. In the meantime I will try to continue to vent, er, voice my opinion on other subjects.
(Disclaimer begins: FWIW, that date and time above has nothing to do with Iraq or Afghanistan or anything that most of my readers either know or care about. If you’re not a personal friend then it wouldn’t mean anything to you. I don’t have any inside knowledge of troop movements or a hotline to Rummy. If anything big happens anywhere in the world that day, it’s not because I knew about it in advance. Disclaimer ends.)
Thanks also to those of you who have started coming in again now that Rachel Lucas has started blogging again and you notice my link on her main page. (This alone has quadrupled my page hits, which aren’t that many to start with.) I will do my humble best to write interesting things, but given that this is my blog and my dime, you’ll forgive me if the things I write about are interesting primarily to me.
As for Rachel: Rachel is a kind and wonderful person who has kept my link on her front page because I spent an insignificant amount of time helping her convert from Blogger to Movable Type about an eon ago. She’s a wonderful, smart and witty lady and I’m sure if I lived in Texas or she lived in Indiana, we’d be great friends. And she’s a lot more passionate about blogging than I am; I’m a plodder, she’s a writer. Look for her to be Senator from Texas some day 🙂
