Here's the waterspout I saw yesterday. The SAS store is right "underneath" it :)
I think this was the same waterspout reported here.*
About two minutes later, it dissipated just to the right of that taller light pole (behind the car with its headlights on), and we got pummelled by a torrential downpour and thunder that was contemporaneous with the flash of lightning. There was a little hail, too -- nothing big enough to see but loud enough to hear on the roof of the Kia Sorrento we're renting.
I was sitting in the car trying to find out what the frequency for this county's Skywarn net is. Turns out this county doesn't HAVE a Skywarn net. Probably because they'd be activating it every day. (I also found out later that they tone their 2M repeaters on the input AND the output. How odd.)

* It was -- As I'm sitting there in the car, Tarpon Point is directly in front of me, about 3 or 4 miles across the marshes, on the other side of the Caloosahatchie River. Update 9 Jul 2014.
