I've probably opined here over the last few years about how our customers seem to be getting dumber and dumber as the old IT guys reach retirement age and the new IT guys take over.

This sort of takes the gold medal today:

The service installed, but the service, although listed as automatic, is not started. After starting the service it runs then stops and continuously requires restarting.

I'll bet if the customer were to look in the log that the software so thoughtfully provides, he'd find out why that's happening.  My money is on him not having the correct license applied.

Nah.  What am I thinking?  Customers looking at logs and figuring shit out for themselves?  What do I think this is, the 1990's?

Sigh.
