but it sure seems to me like there would have been a bunch of dead terrorists a lot sooner, and a tonne-load fewer civilian casualties, had there been a contingent of right-thinking concealed carry folks in that mall in Kenya.
Personally, I may never go to the mall unheeled again.
In 2011 Stephen Hunter wrote a thriller called "Soft Target" about terrorists (they were even Somalis) taking over a Mall on Black Friday. One lone guy with a gun fights back.
In the book, some of the terrorists are Minnesota-based Somalis and it appears some of the terrorists in this attack are Minnesota-based Somalis.
If you have not read any Stephen Hunter, you should.
