Boy Scout handbooks, 1911 and now.

Now suffers badly by comparison.  At least in my opinion.

My own take (which I talked about here) is that since the 1974 edition, the Scout Handbook has pretty much sucked.  I didn't go into why, but the article linked above jibes pretty well with my attitude about the modern handbook.

And I won't even discuss the Fieldbook.  Because that's sucked since the 1960's.
