I've been thinking about this for some time. The problem with getting rid of this Fascist bastard was two-fold. First, he came out strongly for a position that the socialist gun-grabbers among us approve. And second, he's an appointee of the current governor, and by extension, the party in power, who are not going to admit that they might have made a mistake appointing him.
Thus, no big advertising push by either side to get rid of him, and no true realization by the great unwashed that there might be a down-ballot question that needed to be answered in the negative.
The only thing we can hope for is that Governor Pence does a better job choosing and vetting his Supreme Court appointments than his predecessor did. Then the bastard will be marginalized for the next eight years until he's gone.
I have written similar in a post that will be published later today. The Steven David thing leaves me the most disappointed of the election results yesterday. It is either an example of just how uniformed the average voter is, or a willing renouncing of the very liberties enshrined in the Constitution and English Common law. Or both.
The Castle Doctrine is not a liberal/conservative issue nor is t a question of party ideology. It is a question of freedom from unwarranted invasion by the authorities and it should leave every citizen quaking in fear to think the police can barge in at any time for any reason.
But you can sue after the fact to remedy the loss of your rights.
I don't get it.
Seems like this would have been a great local initiative for the NRA to get behind. Too bad they spent their money elsewhere.
