Please think good thoughts

for my very old and dear friend Julie, who is in end-stage renal failure as a complication of lupus.  She was at dialysis last week and her heart stopped, necessitating CPR to revive her.  She then spent the rest of the week in the hospital and was finally moved to rehab because she was too weak to go home.  She did not have a DNR order on file and says she regrets that she didn't. I'm assuming she's rectified that.  Anyway I hope she has.

Julie is 56, has two strapping sons, and became a grandmother about six months ago.  I'll miss her terribly when she's gone, but I'm sure we'll see each other again someday.  All I can really do now is pray for her suffering soon to come to an end.

If you have time and inclination, please offer up a prayer to the Almighty for her.  She's good people.  Better than me.  Life ain't fair.
