Hmm.

With 500 of 600 precincts counted, Lugar has a less than 5,200 vote advantage in Marion County.

Observations:

(1) Marion County is not representative of the rest of Indiana.  Not by a long shot.  Maybe of Gary and South Bend and maybe Kokomo, but not the rest of the state.

(2) If Lugar is doing that poorly against Mourdock in a Democrat stronghold like Marion County, he is probably getting wiped out in the doughnut counties.

Hmm.

Aha!  I guess that's what I get for not going to the fishwarp first, but going to the fishwarp first isn't how I roll.  Mourdock wins!  Go Tea Party!

Wow.  The comments on that article are really nasty.  I was going to comment something along the lines of "Wow, Mourdock wins and the first picture in the photo essay is of Lugar; and you say Mourdock's supporters went negative in the last few days?  I guess you didn't hear that Lugar ad with the old lady worrying about what would happen if her Social Security was taken away and how Mourdock wouldn't do anything for her."  But I decided it wasn't worth the trouble to comment since the Dumbs had already taken over the comment thread.
