At what point does the shame start?

Saw a guy today with a "Democrats - Change that Matters" bumpersticker on his car (you may recall that I fixed that for them back in September 2010).

And I thought, "In what possible world can the 'change' the Democrats have brought to this country since 2006 be considered positive?"

Obviously, the DemBama "change" has only been positive for those who want to bury liberty. Which can't possibly be the case for the driver of the late-model Japanese sedan I saw this morning with that stupid sticker on it.  How would such a person benefit under a socialist system where he probably couldn't buy that nice late-model Japanese sedan, let alone afford the gasoline for it.

The only thing I can come up with is that people like this guy must be brainwashed.  And it turns out that the Soviets and the ChiComs didn't really ever need a Manchurian Candidate, because they (or their fellow travellers, more to the point) created a Manchurian Middle Class to elect "leaders" who would implement what the MMC wanted, namely, velvet-glove socialism.  The problem with that is that socialism always has the iron fist hiding inside that velvet glove, just waiting to strike.

Continuing to see Øbama 2012 bumperstickers and continuing to hear and read the worn-out slogans that have been recycled from the Øbama 2008 campaign (proving that the campaign, like the so-called "progressive" movement that it touts, has no new ideas) makes me want to stand in the middle of the street and scream.

Because I want to know when the shame starts.  When are the people who voted for Zero going to realize that putting Zero in office ended up being worth less than Zero?  The empty suit that so many of us tried to point out back in the heady days of 2008 has proven to be bereft of ideas.  Or, rather, it's been full of ideas, all right, but they were and continue to be the kind of ideas that chain and enslave rather than liberate.  The same kind of ideas Marx and Engels and Lenin and Stalin considered "good government".

The real caption on that bumpersticker I saw today should have been "Democrats: Shame On Us."
