Not only that, it was proposed by the member of Congress least in control of her own finances. Google "Laura Richardson foreclosure" if you want to be incensed. Not only did she get a home foreclosed on for non-payment, she actually managed to use her power as a US Representative to get it back.
Yeah, I know. "Ethics-challenged" and "Democrat" really kind of go together.
