Amidst all the front page hand-wringing regarding the Kroger shooting this morning, the main point is generally being overlooked:
An armed citizen took a recidivist offender off the streets -- permanently.
Not bad for a day's work.

I'm glad the situation turned out as it did. I just hope the Kroger employee keeps his job.
The Star today is trying to build pressure on Kroger to punish him.
What Kroger needs to do is revoke its carry policy and let its employees use common sense.
Part of the reason behind the Kroger policy is probably imposed by their liability insurance. Maybe the NRA should start offering liability insurances to business owners who allow employees to carry on premises, if they have a valid carry permit and have completed an NRA approved safety course.
Interesting idea.
