Some of us need reading glasses. Even with great big 22" 1920x1080 dual DVI monitors.
And some of us really get annoyed at blog and news sites that run their content in 8pt Arial. The one that set me off was this one. It's both a blog and a news site. So it gets double my ire.
And don't start me on Facebook.
I went to some trouble back in the day to make my type size legible, because this particular template defaulted to 9pt -- which is footnote size. (Well. I do make my footnotes 8pt these days. But they're FOOTNOTES!) It may be Arial but it's at least 10pt. I'd go to 12 if anyone were to bitch, because even 10pt is getting hard to read.
If you're going to default to "too tiny to read" then at least have the decency to include a font sizer in your sidebar "Article Tools".
I have the same problem. A screen that is 26" 1920X1200 and that type is too small for me as well. I guess I'll be using the Ctrl key and the Plus sign on the number pad.
