1) Rick Carlisle will now get some respect. Biggest mistake the Pacers ever made was not backing him up vs. the players who thought he was too hard on them. (Biggest problem the Pacers have had since Reggie left is that they have been a bunch of WHINGERS. But I digress.)
2) LeBron James has finally discovered what Cleveland fans knew all along: It was pretty damn stupid to take a loss of income and dump on his devoted hometown fans to go to Miami to try to satisfy greedy hopes of getting a ring -- even with the stacked deck Miami tried to assemble for him. I've long been of the opinion that Cleveland was only a couple of years away from a title before LeBron left. In the final analysis, somebody gave LeBron some truly stinky advice, and now he'll be lucky if he gets that ring anytime in the next five years, if ever.
But the best comment on cleveland.com was as follows:
"I, for one, am quite pleased to return to the same life I had before I woke up today - a life where I have as many championship rings as LeBron James."
The snark is strong in this one :)
Don't bother asking Lebron James for change for a dollar.
He doesn't seem to have a fourth quarter.
This is the only sports related gag you'll ever get from me.
