Nice little storm to start off the day.
Two brief power outages and a big fire apparatus (I hesitate to call it a fire truck, because it looked more like a flatbed in IFD livery) roaring by, siren and lights going full bore, which I assume was on its way to a fallen tree incident or something of the sort. Lots of rain and wind, and it's still pretty windy.
The cats? Blasé.
You know what's really fun? Spending the storm in an office with a bunch of excitable middle-aged women. "Omigod the sirens are going off! Omigod the power went out! Omigod everybody get in the stairwell!" Every gust of wind sends their imaginations running wild, and they talk and talk and talk about what to do in a tornado -- and you just know that if a tornado actually did come through, they'd probably have to be hand-led to safety.
When did "let's just sit tight and see what happens before we get excited" go out of style?
Apparently they need to act more like my cats...
