Instapundit links to an article: "Ogling women a natural reflex".
First: Well, fucking DUH. How much tax money was wasted to figure that out?
Second: The (female) researcher says, among other things, that men "are more visual, more driven to sexual pursuit and more predisposed to cheat than women." And I call bullshit. I've known too many women who chased men, and too many women who cheated on their husbands and boyfriends. (Often they were the same women.) I don't buy this for a minute and given what she's studying, it seems more like piling on than actual findings of research.
Third: The author of the piece winds up with this priceless gem of advice (and man, I hope he was writing tongue-in-cheek): "The peace-seeking male, then, has only one option: To deny his hard-wired humanity and keep eyes focused at the ground at all times."
Or, as was my immediate thought, find a woman who is secure in her skin and could care less if you ogle other women, if for no other reason than she'd prefer not to be married to a dead man. A woman like I am privlileged to be married to, in other words.
Besides, she ogles men. So what? She married me.
If I didn't look, Kelly would rush me to ICU.
