The Windows 7 migration proceeds apace.

After two brand-new Intel motherboards in a row puked their guts on me at install time, I wised up and bought a Gigabyte board for my i7-based Windows 7 box. Took a while to get it set up but I'm using it now with the old XP box sitting here in case I've forgotten anything -- and, well, I'll probably have to keep an XP box running anyway for development purposes, so it isn't going away anytime soon.

I must say it is quite cool to have eight cores (4 physical, with 4 more hyperthreaded) and 8GB of RAM powering a workstation.

CPU: i7-860 LGA1156 quad-core @ 2.80GHz
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333MHz dual-channel
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Storage: 2 x 1TB Western Digital WD10EARS-00Y5B1 in RAID 1 array
Video: ATI Radeon HD 4770
Power: Thermaltake TR2 600W

So far, so good.

I think I am going to build an iTX micro ATX machine with an i5-750 next.

(Would have sworn I saw an iTX board at Fry with LGA1156. Guess not.)

If you are going to keep posting in a foreign language I am going to have to buy a translater program.
