This is a bad bill

typically, authored by a Dumb. Let me state for the record that I am all for voluntary firearms safety training. However, I am against the state infringing on my right to purchase, own, and transfer firearms by requiring me to take such a course. My 2A rights are already infringed by requiring me to obtain a carry permit, and enough is enough.

Worse, this would trample all over the right of Indiana citizens to purchase firearms and keep them in their homes for personal defense without requiring a permit. I'm sure that part of the agenda of this bill is to cut down on firearms sales by the general public, who might buy a gun to keep in the house if there were no strings attached, but would probably pass if they had to take the time and spend the money to take a course before they could. (On top of that, in a down economy, here we have the Dumbs advocating yet another form of taxation to control the public. Typical.)

It's too bad Senator Sipes is retiring after this term. She deserves to be taken to the woodshed by a primary or general election opponent for this.

Bad bill.

I thought the R's were the Dumbs and the D's were the Evils? Or maybe that's backwards. Anyway, dumb law, indeed.
