and he's running three points ahead of Evan bye-bye Bayh.
This is what happens when you take a principled stand, as opposed to acting like a bowl of mush.
UPDATE, 1/26: I just heard on Rush that Pence is not planning to oppose Bayh. Too bad.

Given how much Evan Bayh has shifted leftward since becoming a Senator, the thing that is remarkable to me is that among Democrats, he gets the fact that if the Democrats don't get that Brown's victory is a wakeup call, nothing will serve as a wakeup call.
If Bayh isn't safe, then who is?
While I think Mike Pence would make a great Senator, I think there is an even better job for him. In my opinion he'd make a great Speaker of the House. The Republican's could do worse, and probably will.
Don't be fooled by the perception of a leftward shift since he was governor. Bayh shifts with the breeze.
Bayh (both of them) and Lugar have played the game of shifting left ("progressive") in off years, moving back right (and closer to the Indiana mindset) when it's election time. (Think of all the 1-for-1-against votes we've seen over the years.)
