A READER SENDS THIS PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION:Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States .What do you think?
I'd prefer if it was just, "Congress shall make no law."

I saw it. I liked it.
Gee, I just thought of this...would this mean that if Congress gives itself a raise, we get one, too?
Congress shall make no law without citing specifically where such authority is defined in the Constiution.
Hard to believe less than 60 Congressmen and less than a dozen Senators agree with this idea.
-- well, not really too hard to believe.
The Confederates, for all their boneheadedness, did have one thing in their constitution that we ought to have in ours:
"Every law or resolution having the force of law, shall relate to but one subject, and that shall be expressed in the title."
