This blog contains unrestrained rantage, a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects and other reproductive harm, exposure to which can be avoided by moving the hell out of California to where the rest of us know better.

A fine gentleman and actor, best remembered here (and not at the LA Times or AP).
Newman and I are polar opposites politically, but he is one liberal that I have total respect and admiration for. He walked the talk and did it as quietly as someone of his stature could possibly do. He used his celebrity to benefit others and rejected the Hollywood lifestyle. All that in addition to being one of the greatest actors of his generation. I'm saddened by his death, but appreciative of his body of work and his contributions to society. He led a long, full life.
