I should probably mention

that today, September 17, I have for eight years had the privilege of being married to the most wonderful woman in the world.

My only bit of wisdom is this: Never honeymoon in Florida in September. And never presume that the local kosher butcher is kosher enough for your synagogue's mashkiach -- just have your reception at a hotel and don't worry about kosher at all.
