Truckers' strike: Color me unimpressed.

The trucker's strike being trumpted for today doesn't impress me very much, nor does the plan to have a rally at the Indiana Statehouse that was reported in yesterday's editions of the Gannett Star (I'm too lazy to look up the link, you can do that yourselves).

It seems to me that pissing off the public either because you're slowing down on the Interstate or because your local merchant who depends on "just in time" inventory is out of something you need and won't be able to get it till the truck comes in isn't exactly a program meant to win friends and influence people.

Diesel is expensive because the dollar is in a hole and the ragheads in the Middle East have decided to jack the price of oil.

And people say it was a mistake to go to war in Iraq. Fuck that -- we should have gone to war on the whole Goddamned region, taken it over, and sucked every last drop of oil out of it to use while we develop fusion power and high-capacity long-life storage batteries for our cars.

To hell with the rest of the world -- we're the world's last best hope, even if it has to be dragged kicking and screaming to see it.

And to hell with truckers. Their strike is unAmerican, their self-proclaimed patriotism in question. Suck it up, get back to fucking work, and quitcherbitchin'.

I should note in passing that Ann Coulter was right, we should also have converted all the ragheads to Christianity.

If all they were doing was bugging my co-religionists to come to Jesus, that would be 100% better then blowing them up in pizza parlors or shooting missiles at them from Gaza.

But I digress.
