And we're up.

Hopefully the blog will run a bit faster. We went from a P233 running Linux Red Hat 7.2 to a Celeron 500 running the same.

Nathan,

Congrats on the upgrade!

I'll be doing something similar later this week: I'll be putting my main machine (a Celeron 433 mhz. box running Red Hat 7.2) on Roadrunner Cable broadband access. I've been using regular dial-up access forever, so hopefully I'll notice things running faster too.

Wow! A Celery 500???!?!

Whassamatter, the Commodore 64 is running the router? ;-D

I'll have you know it's the Timex/Sinclair that's running the router. (As a matter of fact, it does looks somewhat reminiscent of the T/S...)

I don't have my C64 anymore but the VIC-20's still in the closet waiting for me to install an Ethernet adapter ;-)

Seriously, the C500 only cost me $100. It's a Compaq Deskpro EN that I got from my JS. Why spend big money on a machine that runs my blog and I sometimes use to test installation kits? The biggest reason I wanted a faster machine was because X was a dog on the P233 :)
