is PETA’s cruelty toward human children.
Me, I’m a member of the other PETA: People Eating Tasty Animals.
In case the asshole PETA is interested, this is what a kitten REALLY looks like:
(That’s Tiggr on 9/10/2000. He’s about 10 times that size now.)
BTW I should note that Tam’s take on this is priceless.
Tuesday Cat Blogging
Tam has inspired me to throw up a few cat pictures. (The cats throw up all the time, so why not me?)
This is Snoopy. The amount of time he spends in this position is staggering. And it’s always when I’m trying to get something done. He just hangs over the keyboard like that, waiting for me to pet him. Sometimes I swear he falls asleep.
Here is Snoopy again. He is in bed with us, lying on pillows at the head of the bed. Thankfully Sally is short and can slide down so he can do that; when he was sick, he got up there every night and slept all night. Since we discovered his hyperactive thyroid and he’s been feeling better, he doesn’t do this anymore. (He does still sleep in between us, though.)
This is Tiggr, the 20 pound cat, at keyboard level.
I usually have to put something in between him and the keyboard or he taps my ESCAPE key with his paw.
And finally,
Tiggr undercover. (Yes, he does this all by himself.)
Enjoy.
Cats are conservatives
Dogs are fascists. Jonah quotes a reader:
Some conservatives don’t like individualistic, libertarian cats and prefer collectivistic, highly structured, organizational canines. Remember, it was dogs who patrolled the Iron Curtain and were pals with dictators like Hitler. Cats would have used the posts of those iron curtain fences as scratching posts, would have used the raked “no man’s land between the fences as a litter box, and would have preformed impromptu plastic surgery on Hitler with their claws if old Adolph get on a rag while holding them.
Cats are conservatives.
I don’t think dog-boy Jonah appreciates this (nor will my many dog-owning friends) but I do. I wouldn’t have a dog on a bet.
Friday Cat Blogging
Sorry, but
I’ve just been really busy the last few days. Hopefully that will stop in a couple more.
Meantime, here are some cute Amur tiger cubs from the Brookfield Zoo for you to drool over.
This was only the second day they were out for the public to see. They were born May 25, 2007. That’s mommy Tiara with them. Their daddy Robeki was off with his feet up somewhere, probably smoking a fine cigar, drinking some aged bourbon, and reading National Review.
Of course they said he was just inside sleeping that day, but we know what he was really up to.
