It just strikes me…

…that anyone aspiring to the title “War Hero” shouldn’t act like John Kerry did back in the ’70s.
Maybe I’m wrong. But I’m getting really tired of hearing about how Kerry was a hero when we have so many current (and perhaps more authentic) heroes sweating it out in Iraq. My feeling also is that Kerry threw any claim to hero status over the White House fence with his medals.
Again, maybe I’m wrong. But I don’t think I am.
UPDATE: Apparently I’m not alone in my thinking. I didn’t know the medal story wasn’t true. I also would have sworn it was the White House, not the Capitol.
