I’m only going to weigh in on this

…because I think we made a mistake. (And I read that someone else thought so, too, either over on InstaPundit or at Den Beste’s, so this probably isn’t news.)
The video and pictures of Uday and Qusay being shown was a mistake. (I liked the idea the one guy had, though, of handing the tape to al-Jazeera and letting them run with it. That probably would have worked.)
Much more effective and to the point would have been to tie their bodies to the bumper of a Humvee and drag them through the streets of Mosul until there wasn’t a whole lot left of them.
Either that or put their heads on pikes in the town square and cremate the rest of them and scatter the ashes to the four winds of Heaven.
Pictures aren’t enough of a warning. They’re too abstract for people like Saddamites.
