…it would make a great sight target. (from this article)
Artists United to Win Without War — a group of more than 130 celebrities who have campaigned against war — has produced a special peace pin for the event. Artists including Dustin Hoffman, Julianne Moore, Jim Carrey, Ben Affleck, Michael Moore and Kirsten Dunst have agreed to wear it on awards night.
Shoot to kill…
UPDATE: Apparently the press have been banned from Vanity Fair‘s Oscar party.
The magazine’s excuse? During this time of war, it wanted its guests to have a safe and secure place where they could party.
What this really means is that Vanity Fair wanted a place where the stars could really groove on excess without reporters chronicling it.
At the Oscars, the stars will look appropriately grim and world-weary. But in the privacy of the Vanity Fair circus tent (a real, not figurative, one), the celebs can party like there’s no tomorrow.
Which I’m sure they will, complete with sneering about the President and our military.
