Government builds NOTHING.

If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that.  Somebody else made that happen.

–Barry da Turd, July 2012

What an incredible asshole.

Barry, you never owned, ran, or worked for a business in your life.  You have no idea what the fuck you are talking about.

My father had a business, years ago.  Couldn’t get a loan from the SBA because he was too white and too male.  And the IRS ended up taking everything in the end, just because he was late paying a couple of withholding tax payments.

The guy I work for today started his business here in the States with $1000 and a laptop computer.  I don’t recall that he ever got any breaks from the US government, other than a few contracts that we still have today — but those came after he’d been in business for awhile, and have never amounted to a significant percentage of the bottom line.

Other than the university, I don’t know of ANY employer I ever had who depended on the government to start up or keep his company in business.  But I knew plenty of them who cursed the IRS and Department of Revenue on a quarterly if not monthly basis.

The government can die in a fire as far as I’m concerned.  Government’s job is to get the hell out of the way of the people who actually build wealth.  Fuck any Democrat who says otherwise.

Oh, and, bitch?  If taxes go up on January 1 because you stonewall the House and the renewal of the Bush tax cuts, it’s on.  Most assuredly you do not want to play this game with the American people.

If this be treason, make the most of it.

UPDATE:  Look who’s holding the economy hostage now.

  1. The current TAX RATES have been in effect for ten years. Any change is a tax increase, the Dems be damned. It is time to discuss “permanent” rates, no more of this one year extension bullsh*t.
The fact we are looking at cuts is a good thing, where they are and how they are triggered is an example of the ususal Republican method of negotiating — squander every bit of your position of strength in order to not have a liberal commentator bad-mouth you. Rolling over never works, the NY Times is still going to hate you if you are a conservative.
I have about had it with these guys. Both sides are playing a monumental game of chicken with the economy and my paycheck.
