I don’t NEED a post office box.

But for some reason the USPS keeps dropping expensively-produced full-color postcards in my mailbox extolling the virtues of a PO Box…
Maybe this is how they plan to get out of the door-to-door mail delivery business. I know that in some small towns in Canada, Canada Post has discontinued home delivery, and going to the post office is the only way to get your mail. The hell of it is, we’re not Canada, and we don’t want to live there.
I’ll make the point that I do maintain a box at the nearby package shipping place for an organization I do some work for…and I have it there and not at the post office because the post office is too damn far away.

  1. Post office for us is right around the corner, along with the fire station, police station, and everything else.
Living in this tiny tow in the middle of D/FW has it’s benefits. And I have all the company crap sent to the house. No point in a PO box for me at this point.
