There’s an old Jewish tradition

dating from the medieval period, asserting that all doctors will go to Hell, because they can’t avoid the occasional “playing God” moments.
(And I will undoubtedly be right there with them. Just to beat y’all to it.)
However, I think my ancestors got that one wrong. It’s not their fault, because in the ghetto the great mass of them weren’t all that involved in worldly affairs.
No, I think that the tradition probably should be reworked.
Because all politicians are definitely going to Hell — and for the same reason. (Yes, even the ones we like. They can’t help themselves.)
