Cats are conservatives

Dogs are fascists. Jonah quotes a reader:

Some conservatives don’t like individualistic, libertarian cats and prefer collectivistic, highly structured, organizational canines. Remember, it was dogs who patrolled the Iron Curtain and were pals with dictators like Hitler. Cats would have used the posts of those iron curtain fences as scratching posts, would have used the raked “no man’s land between the fences as a litter box, and would have preformed impromptu plastic surgery on Hitler with their claws if old Adolph get on a rag while holding them.
Cats are conservatives.

I don’t think dog-boy Jonah appreciates this (nor will my many dog-owning friends) but I do. I wouldn’t have a dog on a bet.

  1. McDonald’s is going to serve more people today than St. Elmo’s. McD’s must be better. 😀
Dogs ARE loyal to whomever feeds them. My dog appreciates the work I do for him and I appreciate his loyalty. I rather appreciate that, actually. I’d never turn my back on my dog, or he me. He’d bite anyone who tried to mess with me.
Cats aren’t loyal to anyone, no matter what you do for them. They’re pompous, strutting little pricks who eat your food and wander off.
I know dogs, I know cats. I’ll take dogs.
Are we still talking about pets? 😀

  2. McD’s is certainly friendlier to my wallet 🙂
    So is Windows 🙂
And while I detest McD’s (I prefer Wendy’s or Burger King), both work just fine for me. I don’t know why everyone else has a problem with fast food and Gates.

  3. I don’t have a problem with fast food either, I eat at BK sometimes a couple of times a week. But I would never say it’s better or even good for you. It’s just the quick and simple crap you eat when you have neither the time, money or desire to eat something that’s proper and good for you.
Ditto Windows. I’m using Windows right now (only because Apple thinks screens all have to be gigantic), but I’d never allege that it’s better. Cheaper, more readily available, but not better.
I don’t have a problem with BillG either, I think he’s OK. That fat fuck who runs his company is a different matter. 🙂
Of course, none of this has anything to do with the clear superiority of dogs over cats, and if you don’t believe me I have only two words for you: Rachel Lucas.

  4. In this one area I consider Rachel to be biased. 🙂
I will note, however, that I was an early adopter of Sunny’s run for the Presidency…on the theory that even a dog would be better than the three, well, now two, idiots who were running for it.
I would not consider a cat for president simply because I do not think the country is ready for that level of freedom and libertarianism.
Also note: I married a woman who has no problem telling me to go f*ck myself as required. So I have no problem with a cat telling me essentially the same thing 🙂
