RIP Indy Undercover

The Indy Undercover blog has gone away. Some think this is good, others think it’s bad. There seems to be very little middle ground.
My take is that when it was good, it was very very good. But when it was bad, it stank on ice. I do think it made a difference in the Ballard/Peterson contest, and I hope it made the IMPD brass start to think about making positive changes in law enforcement. I sort of doubt the latter, though; my guess is that change will be forced on IMPD from the top, and the same cops who helped get Ballard elected will probably not be happy with the changes he decides to make. But we shall see. At the very least I expect Frank Anderson to be relieved of any connection to IMPD on January 1, and that will be a good start by anyone’s measure.
I’ve replaced IndyU in the blogroll with Advance Indiana and Indiana Barrister. But that’s subject to change.
UPDATE: Also added Hoosier Access, who have me on their blogroll. I guess turnabout is fair play 🙂
FWIW, Advance Indiana is set to open in a new window because it is all but impossible to back-button your way out of there. Maybe you guys ought to consider starting a real blog instead of hanging out on blogspot.
