I had TypeKey authentication turned on. Seemed like this was OK for everybody except Og, who absolutely positively could not log in after many, many tries and even creating a whole new TypeKey identity. (I could log in using his ID and password, but he couldn’t. Firewall rules weren’t stopping him. It was absolutely weird.)
Since I want Og to be able to comment here, I decided to turn TypeKey authentication off.
The first problem with that is that I can’t trust commenters anymore without the authentication thing turned on. So y’all will have to wait for me to approve your comments before they show up.
The second problem with that is that I immediately started getting comment spam. Right now it’s not so bad, but if it increases to the point of being more than just an annoyance, I’m going to have to go back to TypeKey authentication.

That sucks.
Do what ya gotta do, we’ll deal with it.
