And this school uniform blather…

I was reading yesterday in the Star (actually I think it was actually Tuesday’s paper, but I’m too lazy to go look for it) that although the “strict” dress code for IPS actually passed the school board with an overwhelming majority, there is still some idiot yakyak about how the school uniform suppresses the ability of students to “express themselves”.
The only need students should have to “express themselves” in school is by active participation and attention in class and by making good marks on tests.
Clothing should have little or nothing to do with it, and the majority who seem to agree that self-expressive clothing is little more than an unneeded distraction obviously get that.
