PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry said Wednesday that civilian leaders in the White House and the Pentagon should be held accountable for abuse at Iraq’s Abu Ghraib prison.
“Harry Truman had that sign on the desk and it said, ‘The buck stops here,'” Kerry said. “The buck doesn’t stop at the Pentagon.”
Hmm. Trying to blame Bush for Abu Ghraib again. Yawn. Like President George W. Bush his own bad self had any idea this idiocy was going on in the first place when it happened. And when he did find out, DoD started investigating lickety-split, didn’t they? Even before the newspapers latched onto the “story”. Sounds like the buck did stop, even if the lefty media wasn’t willing to admit it.
