Yep, the Grand Dame of Indie Science Fiction and Fantasy runs a promo for (mostly) indie authors at her blog on Sundays. There are always some good reads there, plus my books. What? Yeah fine. My books are good reads, too. And I do have a book in the promo this week. Which book? Go look!

Book Promo And Vignettes By Luke, Mary Catelli and ‘Nother Mike (direct link to the promo for 22 Feb 2026)
There’s also (as implied in the post title) a little vignette challenge that’s fun, and which has itself inflicted, I mean, engendered the writing of whole stories and books by people.
Now, there are a couple of reasons I’m pushing this, here. One is, it’s a good promo and there are usually a bunch of interesting books — and they’re not all SF&F, either. You’ll find Westerns and Regencies and other genres represented, too.
The second reason is, Joe Hoosier, you need to read the first paragraph of that post and submit your book. The one you already have. And then you need to submit the second one when you publish it, too. Because people do read the promo, and they buy the books on it. (Tell her Fuzzy Curmudgeon sent you. She’ll know.)
Note very carefully her disclaimer: “*Note that I haven’t read most of these books (my reading is eclectic and “craving led”,) and apply the usual cautions to buying. I reserve the right not to run any submission, if cover, blurb or anything else made me decide not to, at my sole discretion. -SAH” So even if she hasn’t read your book, she’ll likely be willing to put it in the promo. Just try to have it submitted no later than Wednesday of the week you’d like to see it the following Sunday, though in my experience, even Friday isn’t too late.
And the submission format is simple; send an email to the noted address, and just give her the Amazon URL for the ebook version. I usually copy and paste the book’s title, my author name, and the book’s blurb under it. But she really needs just the URL.
So what are you waiting for?
