I received a very nice (if oddly-worded) email from the WSJ customer service staff regarding my missing Journal, in which I discovered that I was actually getting a month of free delivery due to the deal I signed up for. Cool. And it was made very clear that there was no excuse for them having dropped the ball yesterday morning, AND they extended my freebie expiration date to compensate.
The odd wording of the email, viz.,
The exact expiration date will be posted once your credit card will be billed on September 29, 2012. Our records indicate your account is in free weeks period but, this must not affect the delivery of your newspaper.
makes me wonder if WSJ are outsourcing their CS to India…I mean, that just comes across with an Apu accent to me.
