Hodapp’s going to laugh at me.

But look.
As much as I like Jack McDevitt’s writing, and the Alex Benedict novels in particular, $11.99 is too fucking much for a Kindle edition of the new one.
Honestly, the hardback is only four more dollars. I may as well wait for the paperback as pay that much. And the paperback doesn’t help the Kindle price; his previous entry in this series is still $11.99 for the Kindle edition, but the paperback is out for $7.99 and the hardback is “bargain priced!” at $9.98.
Publishers, really…you’re not helping your authors here. Not that you really care about them anyway.
