I ordered some stamps from the USPS the other day. A couple of rolls of “forever” stamps, for a group for which I’m secretary-treasurer.
Now, wouldn’t you think my order would be forwarded to the post office in my zip code and fulfilled there for quick delivery? Or even forwarded to a central post office here in the city somewhere?
Nah, that would be too easy. Those two rolls of stamps are coming from Kansas City, MO.
Undoubtedly while half a dozen union postal workers are lolling about (possibly LOLling about) in the break room in Nora.
The USPS. Giving the business to you.

Up until recently they were working hard taking mail out to the nearby dumpster. :p
Actually, it would make perfect sense to process orders in bulk in one location if the USPS would just change one thing. Get rid of the excess local employees. Given that they will never do that, you’re absolutely right.
