When seconds count, the police are only minutes (or in this case, more than an hour) away.
Well, that and the fact that their taxes are ruinious and their politicians’ corruptness index is second only to that of New Jersey.

I hate to disagree, but Illinois and California are IMHO worse than New Jersey. Also between New York and New Jersey, it’s a pretty close contest.
