I won’t be able to make the Tea Party.
Mandatory rehearsal for a Masonic degree followed immediately by a board meeting for a building association of which I happen to be secretary.
I’ll be downtown, just not that far downtown 🙁 If they hadn’t changed the time, I would have been able to make it.
UPDATE: I heard two estimates, as follows:
1) Just before 6PM, from a former state legislator of my acquaintance who had been at the Statehouse during the early stages: 3 to 4000 people.
2) At around 6:45 PM, from a friend who had just come from the Statehouse after the party broke up: Anywhere from 9 to 10,000 in attendance.
Wow. If either one of those estimates is close, it was a good day to be a conservative in Indiana.

Just because you have a real life and miss a protest for that doesn’t make you a rectangular rhombus. I’m going to be there, I’ll take photos and post them at my site.
Well, yeah, I guess it’s true that I’m not a jobless liberal welfare recipient working for ACORN.
Reminds me of a PJ O’Rourke quote, can’t remember from which book. Basically PJ and Andrew Ferguson are covering a protest in Washington DC, and PJ wonders why conservatives don’t get out and protest like lefties do.
Ferguson says, “We have jobs.”
Touché.
