Random thoughts from 600 miles of driving

– I’m getting really tired of hearing the newsies talk about “the banks which are responsible for the housing loan crisis”. The banks are not responsible. Congress and Bill Clinton are responsible, first for passing the act that made it easier for poor folks to get bank loans they could not afford, and second for threatening to prosecute banks that refused to play ball. George Bush and Congress are also responsible for not repealing that bastard of a bill the first chance they got. To George Bush’s credit, he did try to do something about the problem, but even his Republican Congress was having none of it.
– Do people REALLY have to tailgate at 70MPH? Where the fuck are you going that you have to drive faster than 70? Did you consider leaving earlier?
– We should have followed through on the strategic encirclement of Iran. Syria should have been invaded after we surged Iraq. The Israelis would have helped. The Jordanians might have also.
– If IraqIRAN actually has the balls to set off a test nuke, we should drop a test nuke on their test facility and tell them they have three days to surrender all nuclear facilities to us or we nuke Teheran.
– We should tell the Russians to fuck off at the same time. Unfortunately our Communist president probably wishes he could be more like Putin, but he’s got that pesky Constitution he has to deal with.
– The people who think we’re about to have a revolution in this country? I think they may well be right.
